President Claudia Sheinbaum, together with Governor Mara Lezama, visited health facilities in Chetumal, inspecting the Maternal-Infant Hospital "Morelos", ongoing expansions at the ISSSTE and a new General Hospital under construction. She toured the hospital accompanied by IMSS-Bienestar Director Alejandro Svarch, speaking with patients and staff, noting that the current facility has 30 beds and the new ISSSTE hospital will add 90 beds, more specialties and medical equipment. She also reviewed plans to build new outpatient clinics across Quintana Roo to expand primary care coverage and bring services closer to residents. The visits aim to reinforce health services in the state, listening to experiences and needs of the population. The agenda underscores the collaboration between federal and state authorities to improve medical infrastructure.
